Ofsted Reports for Bourne Primary School

The 2005 inspection was carried out by an inspection contractor and does not use the current grading system. For subsequent inspections the gradings lead to the following assessment:

The 2008 inspection report notes a new management team recently in placeĀ and improving standards. The report notes that teachers' expectations of what more able children could achieve remained too low and that improved marking, tracking and guidance to pupils was needed.

The 2010 inspection was a monitoring inspection and found that the school was making satisfactory progress in making improvements.

The 2012 inspection report notes improvment in all areas, with high expectation and work adapted well to meet the needs of pupils. Marking is described as thorough, with clear indications given to pupils on how to meet their goals. Areas noted for further improvement inculde building on good teaching practice and delevoping a more challenging governing body.
